# ABOK names wanted – Chapter 29 (#2200–#2241)

The [ABOK Index](https://discourse.igkt.net/t/abok-index/10238/1) lists every numbered figure in _The Ashley Book of Knots_. Many figures have no name printed in the book, so the index gives them a descriptive label marked with **†**. A † label is our description, not Ashley's name.

This topic covers **Chapter 29: The Monkey's Fist and Other Knot Coverings** ([Part 15, post #16](https://discourse.igkt.net/t/abok-index/10238/16)). There are 39 † entries in it. If you know a recognised name for any of them (from Ashley elsewhere in the book, another knot book, or established trade or common usage), please share it. Names for terms, rope situations and equipment are welcome too, but knots come first.

- **Check the existing replies first.** If someone has already given the same name, ❤ their post instead of repeating it. If you disagree, reply to that post with your source.
- Approved names will be added to the index. The † will then be removed or the source noted.
