I stumbled across this most interesting thread on a photography forum,
and as it has some photos with cordage in it, there’s an excuse to share
it here. I might have some questions for the poster, in fact.
The posted photos are not huge, but as there are many (separate posts),
it does take a bit of time to load (for me, it is dial-up, and tolerable).

I saw the cordage, but I must admit, I was too fascinated reading the accounts of living as a native Alaskan to pay much attention. I highly recommend that everyone read it. Amazing stuff, and it’s amazing that people have been living that way for thousands of years.
Wow, likewise I read right to the end before realising that I had ignored the knots - particularly the bit about the 3 yo night guard !! These people are real and an example to us.
