Recently Alan Lee posted about a modification of the Alpine Butterfly created by replacing the overhand knots with Figure-8s.
I tried doing the same for some other linked-overhand knots, and took some pictures of some of the more attractive knots I got (not that they will be competing in any beauty contests).

Edit: tails are crossed incorrectly in the last (loose) image. They should be crossed (in this loose form) or twisted clockwise as the knot is tightened. They are correct in the other images.

a linked-overhands knot I discovered recently that I will post in the new-knot forum (Edit: here) (edit2: I’ve been informed by knotsaver that the linked-overhands knot is Diamond Bend (M. B7) shown in Roger Miles’ Symmetric Bends. The pictures below are of the modification with linked Figure-8s)

I also tied some knots with only one overhand replaced with a Figure 8, as suggested by Dan Lehman with reference to the Alpine Butterfly. The results mostly didn’t look good (they may have a practical advantage in some cases, but I doubt any of these are practical knots anyway) but I thought the #1425 turned out ok:
