I need to find a supply of good hemp line can anyone help?
I got some fine stuff from Beck &Rep. But very sadly they have gone out of business
Also does anyone have contact for Steen &Hanne a Danish couple who are ropemakers, I live in Denmark

Ahoy Stringfeller, I have been working with some very nice 2mm and 3mm 3 strand hemp who’s spools have a Langman.com label. I bought mine in the USA but their web business in The Netherlands is active and they have a wide selection of cordages including 5mm hemp. Worth a look.

I think a good contact for you will be ‘Louie Bartos’, a working sailmaker in Kethchikan, Alaska.
Louie has his own colection of ditty bags, as well as photos, and he has produced a limited booklet on Sailors Ditty Bags.

I sell linen hemp in 5mm & 6mm which is very fine being made up of around 40 yarn per ply. I list it in 8m & 10m lengths but message me if you want anything up to multiple 200m reels. I also have loads of jute. I sell it primarily for bondage, so excuse the site
