Help at the Bay Area Maker Faire 2015

Jimmy has helped me to ask the PAB, but I have not directly asked the guild at large:

I’m going to be exhibiting for the guild at the Bay Area Maker Faire.

It runs from May 16-17 in San Mateo with a media preview on May 15 afternoon. I will be very unlikely arrive before late afternoon on the 15th as I cannot leave Vancouver before 13th evening.

Someone(s) else from the guild to help man the booth and spread the good word would be amazing, especially if you can field something to display on the Friday.

I promise lots of wandering around time if you’ve never been to the Faire before.

Here’s where I do a brief blog post about going to Maker Faire.

Here’s the pointer to the Guild Profile at the Bay Area.

Here’s the featured interview I do with Vancouver.

I was surprised that there will be four knot types exhibiting in the Bay Area (including me) including Freaking Sweet Knots whose posted here occasionally and probably should have told us :), a Chinese knotting book author, and a young survival bracelet maker. Hmmm, maybe I didn’t need to go…?

Still hoping to get a fellow guild member to come help (JD? You’re in SF, no? Lindsay? LA is closer than Vancouver, right? ) 130k people will be there (more or less), we should try to put our best foot forward…
