You know i really like when i can combine my two hobby together that is metalsmithing and fancy ropework.
So this is my first rope belt.
The belt buckle and the tongue as been hand forged at the anvil by my self and before you ask yes the rough finish is intentional i wanted a more rustic look for the belt buckle and the steel tongue.
next in the pictures is a combination of alternate square knotting and diagonal half-hitches.i did not follow any pattern i did it by feel or free hand if you like.
The total length of the belt is a little over three feet long.
The rope use is some leftover 3 or 5 mm (i don’t remember ) braided cotton line
