Thank you Alan, for bringing those two remarkable bends to our attention, particularly illustrated side by side for any comparison.
Indeed, Xarax's creation, strictly adheres to the zeppelin arrangement, so rightfully lives up to the Z8 designation.
Nonethelesss, i kind of perceive some sort of zeppelin mechanism operating at the second structure with the red rope, even if only partially, without the conventional, zeppelin-like, tail hinge configuration.
Anyway, both entries, among the best i've ever seen in this forum.
What would be yours alan?still waiting for ychan's ๐คจ ๐

I totally agree your choice of the proposed bends. I think there are also some with the same characteristics of Zeppelin-like, tails hinge bends that function well. They can be easily untied first to the collars.
I love the sheepshank-like group. I love most of them. They can be easily untied. Non-jammable, the bend consists with two nipping loops grapping a few diameters of ropes. I have just updated THIS group in my folder.

Thank you Ychan for the link! Recently, we have been talking with Xarax about your octopus bend and i was searching for it to have another look, but i could not find find it. I am happy to see that it resides in the sheepshank folder.
Xarax tells me that the octopus bend might be one of your best joints, so i'd like to study it more thoroughly, along with the other structures in the folder that you suggested, as well.
