Shroud Knot

Hi could someone enlighten me please about a shroud Knot? I unravel three strands and take the working end of one around the target rope and under itself, then do the same with the second, then the third? Then reverse the ropes so the second component knot is formed on the standing part of the starter rope? What I end up with binds like a three-strong stack of Overhand. I think this is two triple stacked fisherman’s knots rather than a Shroud Knot….? Any advice much appreciated.

Ok IGKT brains-trust - am I on the right track here? Six overhands was easier to remember…

I see no OverHands, but in the OP a stacking of half-hitches,
and the lower one has interlocked helical turns of a sort.
