Retired engineer, started tying knots in the 1960's with the scouts, which continued with a rock climbing hobby in the 1970's. I always keep a length of 6mm cord by my chair, much to my wife's amusement, for when inspiration or a question strikes. I still enjoy discovering new knots, or new uses for old ones. I cannot tie a granny knot, the muscle memory just won't allow it.
