Hi Colin, what’s the secret for adding blank lines and other manual formatting to our posts? I clicked the Toggle Editor button and added my own HTML to format my post, but my HTML was all ignored. Is it possible to prevent a post from being one long paragraph? Thanks! Dave Root

Hi Colin, If I look at posts in the new forum as a guest, I can see the original post and the filenames of images that the poster uploaded, but I can’t see the actual images or see any replies. Is that by design? Can the new forum be tweaked to allow guests to see images and replies? Dave Root

OK, so here’s a topic I have been overthinking lately. Ratchet straps for securing things like motorcycles and ATV’s when hauling them on trailers or the back of a truck. Being a “knotting kinda guy” for most of my life, I have experienced failures with those mechanical devices many times. I simply prefer and trust my knots. I’ve never had a knot rust up and lock up. I could go on. Even aesthetically you don’t see ratchet straps on boats much. Any “tie it down” experts out there that have developed a shareable system for tying down heavy stuff for hauling? I’ll concede that those veil devices might have a place in industry, so I’m not interested in ratchet strap recommendations. How to you tie stuff down?

trucker hitch, taut line hitch or prusik lock - as long it locks and holds on place., if you leave enough tail aka working end you can finish it with a half hitch
