Lovely work @Charles! Do you have any recommendations as to how to learn to make these kinds of items? It’s something I’d like to do, haven’t looked into finding some instructions or tutorials, so if you have a go-to resource it would be great if you could share it here.

the tutorials you find on youtube are not that good in fact pretty much all are of very poor educational quality what i like the best is a good quality book.
Don’t get me wrong poor educational quality book exist too.

You see i am kind of a book nerd too so beside my original and first edition of Encyclopedia of knots and fancy rope work by Gaumont-Hensel publish in 1939 by the Cornell Maritime Press.
a other of my prized book is Techniques of basketry by Virginia I. Harvey Publish in 1974 by Van Nostrand Reinhold Co.
A not too hard to get book but with a treasure trove of information if your serious about making different kind of basketry.
It is pretty easy to find on ebay or maybe at your local used book/antique store.
