Does anyone know where some really good MW tutorials are? For some reason this is the one knot I want most to be able to tye well, and just can’t seem to get. I can do a 2-strand pretty good most of the time, but once I get to three strands or more, I just can’t seem to get them. And for as often used as it is, I can’t seem to find any good tutorials out there.
There are several listed here:

Hope this helps.
This link allows you to click on a book and go to the Matthew Walker Knot.
Note: it doesn’t work on every book.

Hi Rrok007
Have a look at the video below. It helped me very much in mastering the Matthew Walker. I have recently tied one in 8 strands and it was a neat and tidy job using this method. In theorie it should be easier to tie the MW via the wall knot, but in practise, I struggled with it when having more then 3 strands. Now I always use the method below. Just make sure the next loop stays underneath the previous one, which includes tucking it through the loops underneath the previous strings. Give it a go. With a little bit of patience, I am sure you will get there.

Good Luck
Ah yes the good old Matthew Walker knot. This one took me ages to master too!!!
I did it once and got it right, but then after that I kept getting a messy blob, where a masterpiece should be. After many trial runs I finally got it and could see where I was going wrong.
It is funny how it is such a simple knot to tie now, but a while ago it was beyond my grasp.
Just had a go at creating the knot…I think I have invented a new knot!! Any suggestions what to call it?

Going to practice till I get it right!!!
Just had another couple of goes and worked out where I went wrong…I think it should look more like this?
