I am at 46 stored messages and at 96% capacity.
I have no way to archive these messages, some of which I would like to retain. Is ti possible to extend the limit of stored messages? After all, disk storage is unimaginably cheap

I feel your pain. (Is this too much an Yank-ism?)
quick fix :: copy-paste into an e-msg. to yourself,
to grow/amend over time in your e-mail. Loses
the easy Reply aspect, but … .

ps : Perhaps equally touched by your point re memory cost,
I initially thought you might be waving that point with regard
to attachments.
