Mini Cork Fender Key Ring Tutorial

Hello fellow knottyers.

I’ve just completed a tutorial on how to make a miniature winecork fender. These fenders can be used as floating key rings if you like.

The tutorial can be downloaded from the KHWW tutorial section.

If you think something is left out that should be in this tutorial please let me know, any comment is welcome.

Kind regards
Andre

Excellent tutorial Andre! Shows all the steps very clearly. The idea of showing the adding in of another piece of cord is great, particularly if someone does not know how much length to start with. Because the standard wine cork is a standard length and width you could also add in the length of what you normally use for a particular size of cord? You have given others a great idea of how to achieve something to start them off on the road to work as excellent as yours is!

Hello Lindsey,

First of all thank you for your kind words ! I think you’ve got a point there. I should add the length of cord and perhaps a “bill of materials” too

Thanks for your reply

Andre

I have only one question - must you drink the wine before attempting the “mini fender”??? ;D ;D ::slight_smile: Andre - thank you for the great tutorial!!!

Hello Jimmy,

Well you don’t have to drink the wine first…but maybe it’ll make things a lot easier  ;D

Thanks for taking the time to write that up, I’ll have a go at making one when I find some spare time.

I wonder how many keys you can float with one cork?

One cork will only float one small key.
