I am trying to make a lanyard using lanyard knots and an ocean plait. The Lanyards knots are no problem but, although I have looked everywhere everything I see is about making an ocean plait mat. When I look at the drawings I can see how to start an ocean plait up, but get stuck trying to work out how to continue the plait instead of turning back to make a mat. I would appreciate some help here. I.e. how do I carry on from step 5 in the drawing?
Step 5 is the finish weave. To make a longer plait, pull down more in step two and simply do more iterations of 3 & 4 until you have the length you need. Then finish with the two running ends weaving the whole works together as in step 5 (but much more complex).
Might take quite a bit to get it all worked tight but might be worth the aggravation.
