Pen needed a grip

I bought an expensive pen, but my hand kept slipping down the tapered shaft.

How do I prevent this from happening?

Solution: Some whipping, super glue, and a turk's head.

Now the pen is worth the money I paid for it.

Tip: Experiment on older or cheaper pens first.
