Greetings fellow knot tyers and rope makers!
HAPPY WORLD KNOT TYING DAY!!
To mark the occasion I am launching a Global Knot Swap!
To ensure online users as well as Knotting Matters readers can all participate, this swap will occur in early 2027.
To participate, please see my Facebook post from today on the IGKT page, and more links will be added here shortly.
You can post your ideas and progress here!
In the meantime start planning your small gift to a fellow random knot tyer (something under 500g).

This sounds a great idea @Barbedknot! Congratulations on your new Presidency and I wish you all the best in your term. Thanks for already making very good use of our forum.
My own personal news today on World Knot Tying Day is that I'm tying the knot and getting married! Today in York Registry Office (UK) in the mid-afternoon I'll be tying the knot with my lovely fiancée whom many of the UK IGKT community met last year at the October meetup in Halifax.
I will start planning my random knot tying gift to another member!

Please don't post official things to Facebook. Especially when you have this lovely forum available to use.
I don't have a FB account and never will.

I'm capturing all methods over the next while. Email, website and Knotting Matters to follow. Plenty of time to plan!
