I’ve taken a fancy to a structure originated as an Eye Knot,
but which does quite well qua Ends Joint. Taking if from
the EK’s Tangle, the e2e Joint is asymmetric --marriage of
a loop + OH (OverHand). But one can extend the “loop”
side into an OH for a symmetric knot, if desired.
(How many e2e cases have “symmetric” materials?
–this knot I’m keen about works well in thin-2-thick Joints,
with structure for this being, in components, OH-to-loop.
)
And you show as your “Agave S Bend” a form that I can
handily verbally amend to give my knots --having but
one name for the EK & naught for the Joing : “3Rings Bowline”.
So, on your Tying Method 5 for the Agate S Bend,
look at the top-left 2nd-row image :: here my knot(s)
differ by the orange line’s white continuation line
after it is show crossing behind the blue S.Part to
be brought out through the inviting center space
–so, BEHIND the crossing blue & orange parts
into this space and then just out/over/… done;
the purple line is similarly altered.
One might say that here we change the Agave’s
“proper” (U-fold) collar to a loop collar.
Now, the EK is splendid, and the asymmetric Joint
does well, too; but the symmetric version will require
some wrestling with the Tails’ adjacent exit to keep
them at about the same “level”. --a challenge, e.g.,
for Ashley’s #1453 :: the ends want to align themselves
adjacent perpendicular to the axis of tension.
