But really, if a knot that you can to pin to your clothes is what you’re after, just take a standard pin back blank from any bead store, and knot your knot directly to it, then pin it on yourself. Or if the cord you are using is too thick, sew the finished knot to the pin blank instead of your shirt. QED.
The Boy Scouts of America use small patches showing a square knot in different colors to recognize different achievements. The patches are sewn on the uniforms of both youth and adult Boy Scout leaders.

I couldn’t find a picture showing someone wearing these patches, but they are about 1/2 inch tall, 1 inch wide, and up to three can be worn above the left pocket, in rows of three.
