Hello,
I am a complete laysman with knots.
When I tried a knot from internet for my toyboat I probably made a mistake but it turned out to be a useful one…
By pulling at the end it stops, but one can move the knot up and down holding it by the knot.
I tried to find another one in the “complete guide to knots…” and found a similar one after the Tarbuck knot.
Is this knot existing?

“existing”? Well, you’ve shown it!
As for being in the public record,
I rather doubt that it has been recorded
or even much tied. In serious work, I think
it will come up short, to those gripping knots
with more wraps to do the gripping.
