I notice in one photo (www.home.zonnet.nl/willeke_igkt/styal-1/IMG_0220-1.jpg)
there seems to be a presentation of different ropes. Perhaps there will come to be
someone who makes a ropeboard–instead of many knots in one rope, one knot
in many ropes (which could help highlight the effects of cordage).

Hi Dan,
Those are plaited braids, from the Maru Dai of Europa Chang-Dawson if I am not mistaken.
Both Coilin Grundy and I both have Rope Display Boards we use for talks and shows - I am just up-dating mine and hope to get hold of a piece of PBO to bring it right up-to-date before long.

I know (some of) your rope-boards and I think they are good.

You are right, they are the braids Europa made.
She has a set-up in which she can change the braids, and she has some boards on which she has braids snaking around.

This is the whole collection I took of Europa’s braidsboards, you can see I had some difficulties in focussing, but if someone is interested I can put them on internet, (temporary at least.)
You can see that some of the boards are well thought out, and some are just to pin the braids made that day, specially the red-white-blue braid shows that.
