i tied a tetherball with constrictor loops (1045) joined in a line,
then pulled together at the top, somehow.

later saw ABoK instructions for a ball wrapped in a mesh or cloth (475),
totally different idea but all hand-to-eye fun
i used 2.5mm v.b polyester cord
edit: i see the loop is called artillery loop (ABoK#153) or harness loop
