If you read Geoffrey Budworth’s book review in the current edition of Knotting Matters, here’s a link to website for the books he was reviewing:
In particular, you may enjoy the 30 second video of us tying the books together:

That’s ABK #2435, which Ashley lists as a double crown knot with single loops. Mine is a slight variation, because I needed four ends (one for each story) rather than two, so the loops were “cut”. Hence it’s tied with two lengths of rope. One difficulty we experienced was that it’s simply not a knot that can be sensibly tied under tension, so in the end we learnt to tie them loosely… and then I went about working them tight (with two pairs of pliers), which – just as Ashley warns – is a fiddle and a pain, and can easily take as long as tying the knot in the first place. There’s a reason why parcels aren’t tied with such fancy knots!
The extracts (words) on the website aren’t as knotty as the whole project, but there is a knot tucked away in each of the fairy tales for those who care to look.
Full disclosure: I’m the author.
