Point your index and middle fingers (hand palm up with the rest of your fist closed) of the hand you want to tie the knot around across in front of you. Holding the end in your other hand draw 1/2 or more of the cord over your two fingers out away from you. As you bring the cord around again, extend a third finger. Draw the cord over only two fingers down between your middle and index fingers. Close your fist as you draw most but not all of the slack out of the round turn your holding in your fist. Pass the end your holding toward you under the standing part of the other end .Then tuck it over , under , over and finally under ( traveling away from you brushing past your knuckles.)
Reading this I did not follow, took my trusted string out of my pocket, followed instructions and there it was. A 3x4 TH, as promised.

There are lots of other videos out there. That is a great thing about the net, just keep looking till you find a teacher you can learn from. Be it written or video, find the one that speaks to you. That is how I finally got the star knot down. Well, I had it down, anyway.

Yep, I’m visual. When I looked at the film, it is as I have tied them since 1988. I went back to the description and, armed with knowledge, still couldn’t make the words fit what I know the picture to be. Shakespeare I clearly ain’t!
