A knot everyone in the Scout Movement should know, in my opinion, especially with Esher’s Equaliser , as shown here.
The attachment shows a one page diagram tutorial. This is a handy knot, but not essential.
For me, the Jug Knot should be a ‘Right of Passage’ for any self respecting Knotter, in fact I would go so far as to suggest that he/she whould be able to tie it literally ‘with their eyes closed’ and also able to show that it is only a single tuck away from a Bowline.
