What is "the" colour of the Manila rope ?

If we were to use one solid colour for a picture of a Manila rope ( and a knotwork made by Manila rope ), which colour would it be ? I have found many pictures of Manila rope in the web, but I do not know which hue is more representative/resembling of a common Manila rope. I suppose that the plant is the same, and the method of extracting the fibre from the plant would not be so different, so all Manila ropes would be of about the same colour (?s)

Hi X1,

I would have to pick your very last photo as the most representative of the color I would use.

Are you planning some decorative project?

So, not so yellow as the second, the sixth and the seventh, even more redish than the forth and the fifth, but not as much as the first - and not so orange as the third.
I was thinking to suggest a distinctive colour for the background of the KnotMaker site - and I think that even this Forum s site could have such a more “natural” , warm colour, than this cold grey-blue it has now.

Ah, I see. I myself prefer the “earth tones” but then I don’t necessarily think that they will improve the distinct lines of objects. More natural though.

Aesthetics can certainly make or break a topic.
