My new Favorite fixed Loop Knot. "Double Dragon" anyone familiar?

I dont know where it came from but I like it because it is easy to learn to tie and I hope it is strong and will not jam. I dont think it exists as a formal Ashley knot. I believe it is a new development. It exists on my computer and the internet as a series of 10 or 12 photos. As a new member I cannot see how to easily upload the photos showing the tie technique.

I’m pretty sûre I seen it in the Ashley, but unnammed.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to found it again

You can give the URLinks to those photos.

No, the Double Dragon isn’t in ABoK, nor in Hensel & Gretel’s EKFR (I think).

True, it has gained much traction, not just for its catchy name, but also for its bowlinesque origin (see round turn bowline).

You can check out the following link, for more info about dragon knots , perhaps a rather different approach.

I think I first learned about the Double Dragon at Dave Root’s site called the most useful rope knots for the average person to know. He has nice tying instructions. The note at the bottom on the Single-Loop Knots page says that knot was added in 2004.

But, #1034 gets you into the neighborhood of such
eye knots, and is an EK I often employ when wanting
a quick, NSE (=TIB) put “just so, right here” --quickly done.
However, there is some vulnerability to #1034 capsizing
by the S.Part folding the tail --something one can guard
against with either attentive, snug setting or a 2nd tuck
of tail at this poin to make a full wrap.

Also close is the Angler’s Loop [#286, 1017, 1035] and one version of the Tugboat Bowline. Even closer is a “doubled” version of the Angler’s Loop.

I did not see any diagrams there of this Double-tucked Angler’s Loop, but I assume that you begin to wrap as Ashley does in [#1070], but you finish by only pulling the left-most wrap forward to make one loop (where he pulls two cords forward to get two loops).
