I use this Alternative to the bellringer for lowering loads. Works great for buckets and gear. It will spill with cyclic loading though ( by design ) so not as “ bounce proof” as the Bears Grip. It could also be used as the first half of the bears Grip for a even stronger grip .. for certain situations, mabey a more “valuable” load .. then again you should not use anything either of these knots for anything truly valuable so it may defeat the purpose.
